Agreement to terms

By accessing saferwager.co.uk ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these terms of service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the Site. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

What Saferwager provides

Saferwager is a transparency database that publishes information about UK-licensed gambling operators. This information is compiled from publicly available government registers and is presented for informational purposes only. Saferwager does not provide gambling services, financial advice, legal advice, or recommendations of any kind regarding gambling operators.

Data accuracy and limitations

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information on Saferwager is accurate and up to date. However, we source our data from third-party public registers and cannot guarantee that those registers are themselves complete or error-free. The information on Saferwager should not be treated as a substitute for checking the original source registers directly.

Saferwager does not verify the day-to-day operations, financial solvency, or ongoing regulatory compliance of any gambling operator. A valid licence record on Saferwager means that the UK Gambling Commission has issued a licence to that entity. It does not mean that the operator is currently operating in full compliance with its licence conditions.

If you are making decisions about whether to use a gambling service, you should consult the Gambling Commission's own register at gamblingcommission.gov.uk and carry out your own due diligence.

No gambling advice or endorsement

Nothing on this Site constitutes advice to gamble, a recommendation of any gambling operator, or an endorsement of gambling as an activity. Saferwager has no commercial relationship with any gambling operator, and the inclusion of an operator in our database does not imply any form of recommendation or approval.

Intellectual property

The compilation, structure, cross-referencing, analysis, and presentation of data on Saferwager is the intellectual property of Saferwager Ltd. The underlying factual data is sourced from public registers and is not owned by us.

You may cite, quote, and link to Saferwager content for personal, journalistic, academic, or other non-commercial purposes, provided you credit Saferwager as the source and include a link to the relevant page.

You may not systematically copy, scrape, or reproduce substantial portions of our database, whether manually or through automated means, without our prior written consent. This restriction does not apply to standard search engine crawling for indexing purposes.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Saferwager in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Site, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems, to use automated tools to bulk-download or scrape data from the Site, or to use information from Saferwager to harass, defame, or cause harm to any individual.

Third-party links

Saferwager may contain links to external websites, including government registers, gambling operators, and other resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of any external site. A link from Saferwager does not imply endorsement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Saferwager Ltd and its directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Site, reliance on any information provided on the Site, or any errors or omissions in the information published on the Site.

This limitation applies whether the claim is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Saferwager Ltd and its directors, employees, and contractors from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site or your breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
